After more than two years of development, the Maxxis ASSEGAI is finally here!

Greg Minnaar's signature tire is the essence of Maxxis' over 30 years of racing experience and over 50 years of tire production expertise.

"My idea was to design a tire from the best Maxxis profiles. I started in the middle with a combination of Minion DHF and Minion DHR II. The reason for that was that the surface of the DHF rolls well and sticks to hardpack, greasy bends and wet roots and rocks. The DHR II rolls much better and can brake more aggressively.

Then I went to an 'extra' stud, which gives you more support and a constant feeling when you put the bike in the curve on the outer lugs. Here we come to my favorite tire - the high roller. The Maxxis engineers and I reshaped the HighRoller sideline to have pretty much the same characteristics as the original. But with the support of this extra barrel, you have the ultimate wingman when you rush hard into flat turns.

Finally I took over the lug height of the Shorty. The studs are well supported so the raised profile can bite well into forest soil and dry, dusty soil. "
